As seen on Magnolia Network

Jim built the cabinetry for a Victorian on In With the Old.

Season 5, episode 6: Abandoned North Carolina Victorian.

Oak and Stone Custom Homes took on an abandoned Victorian in Granville County, NC and brought it back. The restoration became an episode of In With the Old on Magnolia Network, the network founded by Chip and Joanna Gaines. Jim and his crew built the custom inset cabinetry.

Inset cabinetry is the fussy kind. The door sits flush inside the face frame instead of on top of it, so the reveal around every door has to be even and stay even once the house moves through a couple of seasons. It is the right choice in an old house and the wrong choice to rush.

Here is how Jim put it when the episode aired:

Was honored to be part of an episode of In With the Old on the Magnolia network. The show highlighted a local builder, Oak and Stone Custom Homes, and their journey to revive this old treasure. My team provided the custom inset cabinetry.

Same crew, same shop, same way of working on a kitchen in Wake Forest or a built-in wall in Cary. Jim measures it, sketches it, and comes back with Steffen and Jonah to install it.
